Manufacturing processes vary significantly based on the panel type, materials used, required dimensions, customer specifications, and the type of adhesives applied.
However, the main production stages can be summarised in a series of key steps.
Spruce wood boards, destined to become the cores of blockboard panels, are selected, sectioned, and processed using slat machines to obtain the raw core, which is then cut to size.
The cores are then stored in warehouses for a resting and stabilisation period, which is essential before the subsequent processing phases.
Rotary-cut veneers are applied to the blockboard cores on the press lines, followed by a resting period. Then, fine wood veneers, HDF, or high-pressure laminates (HPL) are added.
Depending on the process, panels are hot- or cold-pressed.
In the veneer selection and jointing departments, wood veneers are selected, trimmed, end-cut, and jointed manually or with automatic machines.
Before pressing, they are tested and graded for quality, then sent to the press lines for glueing onto blockboard, plywood, MDF, or particleboard panels.
The trimming machine squares the panels, standardises the dimensions and removes excess wood from the edges.
Industrial sanding machines calibrate the raw panels, preparing them for the next steps. With fine abrasive paper, they refine surfaces in rotary-cut veneer, HDF, or fine veneers, ensuring uniformity.
An experienced operator supervises the process and checks the overall quality before packaging and delivery to the client.
Ipa 4.0
Industry 4.0 integrates advanced digital technologies to optimise productivity, improve efficiency, and increase operational flexibility.
This transformation allows us to track each panel, monitoring the origin of materials, processing dates, and the departments involved, with real-time data that optimises machine interaction and production flow.
This approach has increased autonomy and production efficiency thanks to collaboration between management and employees, reshaping our work philosophy.
